Electronic ceramics are materials made from high-purity ceramic powder through high-temperature sintering. Their production process mainly includes four steps:
1. Ceramic Powder Preparation
The preparation process of ceramic powder includes raw material preparation, mixing, grinding, sorting, and drying. The purity and proportion of raw materials are crucial to the quality of the final product.
2. Molding
The main molding methods for electronic ceramics are extrusion molding, injection molding, and compact molding. Extrusion molding is suitable for mass production; injection molding is suitable for manufacturing complex shapes and high-precision electronic ceramic parts; compact molding is suitable for manufacturing relatively simple electronic ceramic semi-finished products.
3. Sintering
Sintering of electronic ceramics refers to placing the shaped ceramic parts in a high-temperature furnace and heating them to a specific temperature to achieve bonding between ceramic particles. During the sintering process, parameters such as temperature, time, and atmosphere must be strictly controlled to ensure that the ceramic possesses ideal properties.
4. Surface Treatment
The surface treatment of electronic ceramics typically includes polishing, cutting, and sandblasting to achieve ideal precision and quality requirements. These treatment processes improve the surface smoothness and durability of electronic ceramics.
