Temperature and Humidity
The ideal storage temperature for ceramic raw materials is generally between 10℃ and 30℃, and the ideal humidity is between 50% and 70%. Excessively high or low temperatures and humidity can cause quality changes in the ceramic raw materials, such as the loss or absorption of crystalline water and particle deformation. It is particularly important to note that ceramic raw materials are generally sensitive to humidity changes; therefore, they should not be stored in excessively humid or dry conditions.
Light
Some ceramic raw materials cannot be exposed to sunlight and ultraviolet rays for extended periods and should be kept in a dry, well-ventilated, and dark environment, such as titanium dioxide.
Prevention of Contamination and Damage
Ceramic raw materials are best stored in airtight containers, such as plastic buckets or wooden crates, to prevent contamination and impurities, and also to prevent quality changes caused by direct contact with air. During storage, different types of ceramic raw materials should not be mixed in the same container to avoid chemical reactions and quality abnormalities.
