1. Check the Label: The product packaging should include the manufacturer's name, address, product name, after-sales service phone number, specifications, quantity, trademark, production date, and the standards implemented. For porcelain tiles, check for the CCC certification mark. For interior design and decoration tiles, choose products that meet Class A requirements for radioactive nuclides.
2. Examine the Appearance: High-quality tiles should have a smooth and delicate glaze. Glossy glazes are crystal clear and bright, while matte glazes are soft and comfortable. Under sufficient natural light or fluorescent light, observe the tile vertically from a distance of 1 meter; no obvious glaze defects should be visible. Patterned tiles should have delicate and realistic patterns, without obvious defects such as missing colors, broken lines, or misalignments. High-quality ceramic products have clear and complete background patterns and trademarks on the back, with few glaze marks or defects.
3. Check the Joint Effect: Good tiles have small dimensional deviations. Place a batch of products vertically on a flat surface to check for unevenness. To check the flatness, place two tiles edge-to-edge to check for gaps. Good quality tiles deform less, resulting in a smooth and aesthetically pleasing surface after installation. To check for color differences, place several tiles together and examine them carefully under ample light. Tiles with inconsistent shades will produce a less than ideal overall effect after installation.
4. Tap and Listen: Gently tap the tiles and listen to the sound. High-quality tiles will produce a clear, pleasant sound. Poor-quality tiles, due to improper raw material formulations, short firing cycles, and low firing temperatures, will produce a hollow sound when tapped.
